The agreement, in plain language.

Upswing is software that runs the business side of private coaching: a booking page, credit packs, autopay, check-ins, rain-day rescheduling, and a record of each player’s progress. Upswing is the software; the coaching itself is between the coach and the family. By creating an account or joining a coach’s roster, you agree to these terms.

Coaches and parents or guardians hold the accounts; players are profiles under a family account. Keep your login to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has it. A coach decides who is on their roster and what each person can see, and can change that access.

Payments run through Stripe. The coach is the merchant through Stripe Connect, so lesson money is the coach’s, and Upswing never takes a cut of it. Each coach sets their own cancellation and refund policy, including no-show and late-cancel rules, and Upswing carries that policy out. The coach pays a flat monthly subscription; card processing is Stripe’s standard rate. Refunds for lessons are handled under the coach’s policy, not by Upswing.

Use Upswing only to run a real coaching relationship. Don’t use it to break the law, to harm or harass anyone, to store records about people you have no legitimate coaching relationship with, or to probe or disrupt the service. Records that include children deserve extra care, and we will close accounts that abuse it.

We work to keep Upswing reliable and to back up your data with the seriousness it deserves, but no service can promise perfection. We may improve or change features over time, and if a change would meaningfully reduce what you can do, we’ll say so first.

You can export your clients, history, and records and close your account whenever you want; it is month to month, with no contract. If we ever discontinue the service, you’ll get notice and a real window to export everything first.

Upswing is provided as-is, and our liability to you is limited to what you have paid Upswing in the past twelve months, except where the law says otherwise. These terms are governed by the law of our home state, and disputes start with an email before anything else.
