Upswing

Features Policies and waivers

Set the rule once. The app keeps it.

You write your policies and your waivers, and Upswing enforces them at booking time and check-in the same way for everyone. You stop being the person arguing a cancellation window at the fence.

What you get

Your rules, applied evenly.

Coach-authored waivers

You write your own waiver text. Upswing supplies no legal wording and no advice, so the language is yours to have reviewed by counsel if you want that assurance.

Waiver versioning

Change the wording by adding a new version and activating it. Old versions and everything signed against them are kept untouched, and families always sign the version that is currently active.

Permanent signed records

Every signature records who signed, the typed legal name, when, and the exact text they saw, stored with a cryptographic fingerprint. The records cannot be edited or deleted, by anyone.

Notice windows and cutoffs

Set how many hours before start a family can still book or cancel, and a per-offering registration cutoff. Later attempts are refused with a plain explanation, not a silent failure.

Daily caps

Cap how many sessions one household can book per day, so a single family cannot sweep a whole clinic. The limit applies in the booking flow automatically.

Intake questions

Ask the questions you need answered before a lesson, and collect the answers as part of booking. The information is there before the player is on court.

How it works

Enforced in the software, not at the fence.

Policies apply to your public page and every family’s booking flow the moment you save them. Waiver requirements block a booking or a check-in until the waiver is signed.

Booking policies the app applies for you

Your booking policies are settings you fill in once. A book-ahead notice sets how many hours before a session a family can still book, and a cancel notice sets how long before start a cancellation still returns the credit. Inside that window a cancellation is recorded as a late cancel and the credit is kept, under the rule you chose rather than a judgment call in the moment.

A per-offering registration cutoff closes booking for a specific clinic on its own schedule, and a daily cap limits how many sessions one household books in a day. Every one of these applies to your public page and to each family’s booking flow the instant you save it, so a family sees why a booking is refused and you never have to enforce it in person.

Waivers you write, versioned and signed

You author your own waivers. Create a named template, add a version with the full text and an optional validity period, and activate it. To change the wording later you add a new version and activate that, and the old versions plus everything signed against them are kept exactly as they were. Families always sign whatever version is currently active.

A waiver requirement connects a template to your business: it can cover one offering or everything you run, per player or once per family, enforced before booking, before check-in, or both. A family cannot confirm a booking, or a player cannot be checked in, until the required waiver is signed, and your roster flags anyone who is blocked. If a version has a validity period, signatures expire and families are asked to sign again.

If you are moving off a standalone signing service, the waiver software for coaches overview covers how enforcement at booking and check-in differs from a tool that only collects a signature.

A record you can stand behind

Every signature creates a permanent record: who signed, the typed legal name, the time, and a rendered copy of the exact document they saw, stored with a cryptographic fingerprint. The records cannot be edited or deleted by anyone, including you, so what a family agreed to is settled and retrievable.

Archiving a template turns off its enforcement without touching a single signed record. Intake questions work the same honest way: you ask what you need before a lesson, the answers are collected at booking, and the information is waiting for you before the player arrives.

Policy questions

What coaches ask about policies and waivers.

Does Upswing provide the waiver wording?

No. You write your own waiver text, and Upswing supplies no legal wording and no legal advice. Have yours reviewed by counsel if you want that assurance. The tool handles versioning, enforcement, and the signed record.

When are booking policies enforced?

At booking time, on your public page and in every family’s booking flow, the moment you save them. Notice windows, cancel windows, registration cutoffs, and daily caps all apply automatically, and a refused attempt gets a plain explanation.

What happens to old waiver signatures when I change the text?

They are kept, untouched. You change wording by adding a new version and activating it, and everything signed against earlier versions stays on record. Families sign the currently active version, and enforcement always checks that one.

Can a signed record be edited or deleted?

No. Every signature stores who signed, the legal name, the time, and the exact text they saw, with a cryptographic fingerprint, and it cannot be edited or deleted by anyone. Archiving a template ends enforcement without removing any signed record.

Can I collect information before a lesson?

Yes. Intake questions let you ask what you need as part of booking, so the answers are there before the player is on court.
